Proudhouse Property Management and Lettings have an exciting new position available for early 2018.
Overview
Proudhouse has a requirement for a lettings and management administrator. Daily tasks for this person will be to progress property lettings workflow and also generate supporting documentation. This person will also be required to field enquiries received via telephone and email. Being comfortable with a PC will be essential. This will be a part-time role initially but working on a daily basis. Property viewings and inspections are core tasks for all staff members so, in time, this will be part of the role also. Industry experience is not essential; in fact, more important to us is someone interested in playing their part in growing and developing a business where every employee is valued for their contribution and ideas to keep evolving and improving. It’s a very exciting opportunity and we would love to hear from anyone who is interested in this role.
A little bit about computers: A key aspect of the role will be sound computer knowledge – although training will be provided on the specific industry aspects, the person we are looking for will be able to quickly and efficiently store and retrieve files on a shared drive, create directory structures on a shared drive, understand how to setup and change printers and settings, use software to manipulate and resize image files, login into the portals (Zoopla etc) to update records and be comfortable with the basic concepts of databases. Some of this work has to be done whilst on the phone and talking, so proficiency will be required after a relatively short period of familiarization. We do not use Microsoft Office or equivalent software – most of our computer facilities are bespoke and specific to our industry needs. That said, what we use is very efficient.
Qualifications
This person will have proven academic ability to a minimum of Level 3 or A-Level. Qualifications and/or experience in customer service roles, local business, retail and administration will be considered relevant and advantageous. A person from the building and construction industry would also be considered very suitable – if this applies then contact us about an alternative job specification.
Training
A 4 week in-house training period will initially be provided. Proudhouse operate a culture of constructive learning through ongoing analysis of our processes to generate improvements and efficiency. A person who is receptive, analytical, constructively-critical and self-critical, will fit right in! All our staff partake in ongoing training and continuous professional development. Candidates will be provided with training and coaching for industry qualifications after 12 months employment.
Pay and hours
Expect a rate equivalent to a minimum of £10/hour depending on the level and experience of the successful candidate. This will be a PAYE role based on a number hours to be negotiated between the successful candidate and Proudhouse. However, this is a daily role between Monday to Friday. Holiday and other entitlements, including work-place pension, will be at the statutory rates.
